The Method

The Pomodoro Technique is a simple system to stay focused without burning out: work in short, locked blocks of 25 minutes, separated by real breaks.

  1. Choose a taskPick one thing. Type it in the field so it stays in front of you.
  2. Focus for 25 minutesStart the timer and work on that one task until it rings. No tabs, no feeds.
  3. Take a 5 minute breakStep away from the screen. Stretch, breathe, get water.
  4. Repeat four times25LM counts your sessions and tracks the cycle for you.
  5. Take a long breakAfter four sessions you have earned 15–30 minutes of real rest. Then start again.

Why it works

  • Short, fixed blocks make starting easy — anyone can commit to 25 minutes.
  • A visible countdown keeps you honest and reduces distractions.
  • Scheduled breaks prevent mental fatigue instead of reacting to it.
  • Big tasks become a count of sessions — progress you can actually see.
